The jungles also breathe, just don’t make any sound
And Vantara is the prayer of that jungle, in which everyone from the injured lion to the suffering birds are getting a new life. This huge project of 3000 acres spread in Jamnagar, Gujarat is in the eyes of the whole world today. But the question still remains the same.
When will common people like us be able to see it?
Vantara is not an ordinary zoo. This is a Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre, where animals get treatment, care and a chance to live again.
- Exotic birds rescued from smuggling
- Injured elephants and tigers
- And those animals, whose voices were lost somewher.
Inauguration done now?
Yes, on 4 March 2025, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated it. Then what? People thought that now just buy a ticket and visit Vantara!
But brother, it is not like that right now.
Vantara is not open to the general public at the moment. Why?
Because this project is for the rest and rehabilitation of animals. There is no noise, selfie zone or flying packets of chips here.
Will we be able to visit in the future?
Yes, hopefully! Anant Ambani, the brain behind this, has said that there are plans for some limited and guided visits in the future.
That is –
“You will definitely be able to visit, but with manners.”
No full opening date has been given yet. But work is underway – animal care, infrastructure and visitor guidelines are all being set.
